Dorsch Gruppe: Merger of subsidiaries will pool strength and competence

Offenbach, 20. September 2010, Dorsch Holding GmbH has decided to fully reorganise several of its subsidiaries:

Legally effective retrospectively as of 1 January 2010, the companies DC Airports GmbH and hoffmann röder hochbau GmbH are being merged with the subsidiary DC Wasser & Umwelt GmbH, which has already been re-named Dorsch International Consultants GmbH. The company has its registered office in Munich and operates branch offices in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Bonn as well as in Essen. The merger is creating a company that will generate an annual turnover of some 27 million euro with a staff of approx. 220 employees.

As a result of the merger, human and technical resources will be ideally pooled and bureaucratic obstacles within the individual groups removed. “With a clearer position in the global market, we will be able to participate in bigger tenders, as we can offer more competence from one source”, said Andreas Rienecker, CFO of the Dorsch Group, commenting on the merger. “In addition, the resulting synergies will enable us to offer our clients an extensive range of services across the board of planning and consulting, which will make us one of the biggest engineering groups in Germany”, Rienecker added.

Moreover, the operational business of the subsidiary DC Verkehr und Infrastruktur GmbH will be taken over by Dorsch International Consultants GmbH in the next few weeks. Last year, DC Anlagenbau was already transferred to the company, which was then still operating under the name of DC Wasser & Umwelt.
