Description

The planning consortium ABS L-D between Schüßler-Plan and GRE - Gauff Rail Engineering GmbH & Co. KG was commissioned by DB ProjektBau GmbH, Dresden in 1997 with the overall planning for the above-mentioned construction sections of the ABS Leipzig-Dresden.

The VDE 9 with the Leipzig-Dresden extension line runs in the planning section on the existing line 6248 DE and is returned to the existing line 6363 LD north of Dresden.

In the course of the Leipzig-Dresden extension line, the construction of a new railway overpass for the double-track electrified line is required as a replacement measure for the Sachsenstraße level crossing in the Weinböhla locality. Due to the high groundwater levels, the roadside connection is made via 4 partial trough structures in the form of groundwater troughs, which are made of overcut bored pile walls with an internal reinforced concrete trough.

The railway overpass is an integral part of the trough structure. The trough will be equipped with a pump shaft and a lifting system. The railway bridge consists of a reinforced concrete full frame and will have 3 m high noise protection walls on the superstructure.
