Description

GRE - Gauff Rail Engineering GmbH & Co. KG was commissioned by DB Netz AG in 1996 as part of the SPI/GRE consortium to provide services for a new replacement structure. GRE is responsible for all civil engineering services up to service phase 7 with the exception of implementation planning.

The structure carries 2 tracks each of the ABS LD and DE lines at railway km 12.008 DE over the S 82 state road and a single-track tram on a separate track in the stop area. It is built as a deep-founded frame structure in reinforced concrete construction.

Due to the structural condition of the existing railway overpasses and track plan adjustments, their new construction is absolutely necessary.

In terms of design, the structure will be built as an inclined basket arch bridge.

The construction will be carried out under single-track operation using the existing structure. Extensive shoring is required to secure the railway traffic.
