Interview with Managing Director Nirmal G. Humbad on the 22nd anniversary of DC India

On the occasion of DC India's 22nd anniversary, Managing Director Nirmal G. Humbad was interviewed by Construction Times magazine. Among other things, he was asked how he sees the development of his company today and in the future.

The business units of DC India
The basis of DC India, he said, has grown historically, especially the business areas of road construction, building construction and the oil and gas sector. In the fossil fuel sector, it was also possible to expand into Bangladesh by winning more project contracts.

India as a growth market
The company will continue to expand its strategically important airport division in the strong growth market of India. In terms of passengers, India will be the world's third largest market for air traffic in the future. DC India even received an award for its outstanding design in the airport construction in Dehradun, which took into account the local heritage.

Green solutions
Dorsch integrated concepts to protect the environment into the design of Rashtriya Raksha University Gandhinagar and was therefore certified with a five-star rating by GRIHA Council. In this, DC India considered low-impact design, design to mitigate heat island effect, control from air and water pollution, energy efficiency by using natural light through skylights, use of renewable energy, use of eco-friendly materials and maintaining good air quality.

Managing Director Nirmal G. Humbad concluded by saying that DC India has been able to come through the difficult times safely even with its employees. "We can proudly say that we have successfully managed all this and worked our way out of this difficult phase."
